Overview
The IBPS RRBs Officer is a national-level banking exam conducted every year by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) to recruit candidates to the post of Officers Scale I, II and III, in the Regional Rural Bank (RRBs). The recruitment is carried out for the posts like Senior Manager, Manager and Assistant Manager etc.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Officer Scale-I : Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent
- Officer Scale-II :
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognised University in Electronics/Communication/ Computer Science/Information Technology with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent
- Certified Associate (CA) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India
- Degree from a recognised University in Law with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent
- Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance from a recognized University/ institution
- MBA in Marketing from a recognized university
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Dairy/Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/Veterinary Science/Agricultural Engineering/Pisciculture from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent
- Officer Scale-III : Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or its equivalent
Age Limit (Age relaxation would be given as per government regulations.)
- Officer Scale-I : 18-30 years
- Officer Scale-II : 21-32 years
- Officer Scale-III : 21-40 years
Syllabus & Exam Pattern
- Negative Marking- There is a negative marking in the paper. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted in both main and preliminary examinations. No Marks would be deducted for an unattempted answer.
- Time Duration- The preliminary paper would be conducted in 45 minutes and the main examination would be conducted in 2 hours.
- No. of Questions- The preliminary paper would consist of 80 questions and the main paper would consist of 200 questions.
- Types of Questions- Both papers would consist of Objective type/Multiple-choice questions
- Mode of Exam- The exam will be conducted in online mode.
- Qualifying Marks- The candidates appearing for the IBPS RRBs Officer examination must qualify for the paper within the cut-off released by the official board.

Candidates can follow the steps below to download the Admit Card :
- Visit the official website of IBPS - http://www.ibps.in.
- Click on the CRB RRBs on the left side of the page.
- Click on "Common Recruitment Process – Regional Rural Banks".
- Click on the link for “Online Exam Call Letter RRB Officer”.
- In the new window, enter your Registration Number/Roll Number and DOB/Password. Also, fill the Captcha Box.
- Click on the "Login" button.
- Admit Card is displayed on the screen. You can save the Admit Card in PDF format or print the same as per choice.
Result
The candidates can follow the below discussed steps to check the Result :
- Visit the official website of the Institute of Banking & Personnel Selection at http://www.ibps.in.
- On the homepage, click on CRP RRBs appearing on the left side of the page.
- Now click on the text reading- “Common Recruitment Process- Regional Rural Banks”
- Click on the notification reading “Result Status of Online Examination for RRBs-Officers”.
- Enter your registration number, password and captcha code to check your result.
- The result is displayed on the screen. Download your result.
- Take a printout of your result for future reference.
Answer Key
The steps to check the answer key are as follows :
- Visit the official website of IBPS, http://www.ibps.in.
- On the home page, click on the ‘CRP RRBs’ tab.
- Candidates will be redirected to a different page and now click on the ‘Common Recruitment Process – Regional Rural Banks’ link.
- After clicking on the tab, candidates now need to click on the ‘IBPS RRB Officer Answer Key’ link.
- Applicants will now see the login page where they have to log in using their registration/roll no and password/date of birth.
- After filling in the credentials, click on submit.
- They will see the answer key on their screen.
- Candidates are advised to save and download the answer key for future reference
Preparation Tips
- Study Plan Planning plays an important role in preparation. Divide time covering the entire syllabus and focus on important topics.
- Practice Question Papers Check previous years’ question papers to find out chapters from which more questions are typically asked in the exam. Set daily and weekly study targets and check your progress.

- You are now required to upload your photograph, signature and IBPS RRB hand-written declaration
- Click on the next button after uploading your photograph and signature.
- You are now required to fill in your basic details. There are three sections that need to be completed in this portion of the application process.
- After the choices have been made, click on save and next.
- A preview of your application appears before you. In case you find any errors, you can edit the information. Once the data is uploaded and saved, you are not allowed to make any changes in the form, whatsoever. Therefore, kindly review all the details while filling in the application form.
- Finally, select the payment method to fill in the application fee. All payment is done online.

Is the IBPS RRB exam tough?
The IBPS RRB exam is the same as any other bank exam. If a candidate is well prepared, then the exam is not very tough to crack. However, the competition is very tough.
How many banks participate in the IBPS RRB exam 2024?
Total 43 Regional Rural Banks are a part of the IBPS RRB recruitment 2024.
Is the IBPS RRB exam the same as the Bank PO exam?
The Bank PO exam is conducted for the post of Probationary Officers only. The IBPS RRB exam, on the other hand, is conducted for the post of Officer Scale I, II & III and also for the post of Office Assistant.
