Overview

The COMEDK UGET (Undergraduate Entrance Test) is a gateway exam for aspiring engineers seeking admission to Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programmes offered by engineering colleges in Karnataka. Conducted annually by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK), the exam plays a crucial role in selecting students based on their performance.

Key Points

  • Focus on Engineering Admissions Unlike some state-level engineering entrance exams with broader scopes, COMEDK UGET exclusively focuses on engineering programmes in Karnataka.
  • Organised by COMEDK The Consortium itself administers the exam, ensuring a streamlined and centralized process.
  • Selection Based on Scores Performance in the COMEDK UGET determines a candidate’s eligibility for admission to participating institutions.

Cut Off

The COMEDK UGET cut off refers to the minimum rank required for admission to various engineering programmes offered by participating colleges in the consortium. The cut off is presented as opening and closing ranks, which indicate the range of ranks within which applicants have a chance of securing admission to a specific programme at a particular college.

Where to Find the Cut off Ranks

  • Visit the COMEDK website.
  • Navigate to the section dedicated to COMEDK UGET 2025 admissions.
  • Look for information on ‘Cut off Ranks’.
  • Download or view the cut off data for your desired programme and college.

Important Notes

  • COMEDK releases mock cut offs before the actual counselling rounds to give candidates an idea of their admission prospects.
  • The actual cut off for each round depends on factors such as the number of applicants, difficulty level of the exam and the number of available seats.
  • Cut offs vary significantly between colleges and programmes. A high rank might be necessary for admission to a competitive programme at a top college, while a lower rank might suffice for another programme at a different college.
