Overview
The Indian Air Force has announced that registrations for the 2024 recruitment must be submitted online. After completing the Agniveer Vayu application forms, all registered candidates will be eligible to participate in the examination scheduled for October 18, 2024. The online application link for the Indian Air Force Recruitment 2024 will be available starting July 8, 2024. Interested candidates are advised to complete and submit their applications for the Agniveer recruitment by the deadline of July 24, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification-
Science Subject- The candidate should have passed the Intermediate/10+2/ Equivalent Examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR
3 years of Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Automobile/Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology/ Information Technology)
OR
2 years Vocational Course with non-vocational Subject viz Physics and Mathematics.
Other than Science Subjects:- Candidate should have passed intermediate/10+2/ or Equivalent examination in any stream with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English
OR
Passed two years of Vocational Courses from Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Courses (or in Intermediate / Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).

- Weight should be proportionate to height and age.
- Hearing- Candidates should have normal hearing,i.e. Able to hear forced whisper from a 6-meter distance in each ear separately.
- Dental: - Candidates should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.

Age Limit- The age limit set for the IAF Agniveer 2024 examination is a maximum age of 21 years and a minimum age of 17 years. Not born before July 3, 2004, and not after January 3, 2008
Syllabus & Exam Pattern
- Negative Marking- There is a negative marking in the IAF Agniveer 2024 Examination. For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks are deducted.
- Time Duration- The time duration for science subjects is 60 minutes, for other than science subjects is 45 minutes, and in Science and other than science subjects is 85 minutes.
- No. of Questions- For the science subject the no.of questions are 70. For Other than Science Subjects are 50 and for Science and other than Science subject is 100 questions.
- Types of Questions- all the papers would be of objective type questions.
- Mode of Exam- IAF Agniveer examination will be conducted in Online mode.
- Qualifying Marks- Each paper would be qualifying in nature and each paper has to be qualified individually in Science and other than Science Subjects.

Document Verification:-
- Graduation certificate from class 10 or matriculation.
- Intermediate/10+2 or equivalent mark sheet.
- Final year mark sheet of a 3-year Engineering Diploma (if applicable), and matriculation mark sheet (if English is not included in the Diploma course).
- Mark sheets of 2-year Vocational Course and Non-Vocational Course, including subjects Mathematics, Physics, and English.
- Recent color passport-size photograph (size: 10 KB to 50 KB). Left thumb impression of the candidate (size: 10 KB to 50 KB).
- Candidate’s signature image (size: 10 KB to 50 KB).
- Guardian or parent's signature (if applicable and candidate is under 18 years old).
- Mark sheet showing English grades earned (if applicable).
Adaptability Test:-
- All candidates who successfully clear the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) will be required to undergo Adaptability Test-I, an objective type written test designed to assess their suitability for employment in the IAF.
- This test evaluates candidates' ability to perform in diverse geographic terrains, weather conditions, and operational environments.
- Candidates who pass Adaptability Test-I will then proceed to Adaptability Test-II, conducted according to current policies.
- Adaptability Test-II aims to identify candidates who can effectively acclimate to the Indian Air Force's environment and adhere to its military lifestyle.
Medical Examination:-
- Candidates who successfully pass Adaptability Test-II will receive a medical appointment letter at their respective ASCs.
- The medical examination will be conducted by an Air Force Medical Team according to IAF medical standards and current policies.
- The medical assessment will include the following baseline investigations:
- Blood Haemogram - Hb, TLC, DLC
- Urine RE/ME
- Biochemistry:
(i) Blood Sugar Fasting & PP
(ii) Serum Cholesterol
(iii) Urea, Uric acid, Creatinine
(iv) LFT - Serum Bilirubin, SGOT, SGPT
(d) X-Ray chest (PA view)
(e) Ultrasonography of lower abdomen & pelvis (for female candidates only)
(f) ECG (R)
(g) Any other necessary test as determined by the Medical Officer.
- The recruitment medical officer and specialist doctors of the Armed Forces have final authority to declare a candidate fit or unfit during the initial medical examination, AMB, and pre-enrollment medical examination.
- Candidates must adhere to Armed Forces standards, which may differ from civilian standards. There is no provision for further representation or review following the Appeal Medical Board.
