Eligibility Criteria

Age- The minimum age for the candidate 21 years and maximum age is 28 years as on July 1, 2023. A candidate not born before 1-07-1995 and not after 1-07-2002.

Syllabus & Exam Pattern

  • Negative Marking- There is no negative marking in the UP SI examination. And 2 marks are awarded for the correct answer.
  • Time Duration- The time duration for conducting the examination is 150 minutes or 2.5 hours.
  • No. of Questions- There are a total of 400 questions in the UP SI examination, with 50 questions each in subject.
  • Type of Questions- The questions of UP SI examination are objective type/multiple choice questions.
  • Mode of exam- The UP SI examination is conducted in Online mode.
  • Qualifying Marks- The minimum qualifying for the candidate appearing for the UP SI examination is 40 %.

Document Verification: - To confirm the legitimacy of the candidates' submitted personal and educational documents. Original documents, such as identity cards and diplomas from schools, must be presented by candidates.

Skill Test: - This level is relevant for some positions such as ASI (Clerk), where stenography or typing proficiency is required. Evaluation criteria include accuracy, speed, and stenography proficiency (if applicable).

Medical Examination: - To ensure that applicants are in good enough health to carry out police officer duties. Comprises a vision test, general health examination, and further health-related evaluations.

The candidates can download admit card from the official website by following the steps given below :

  • Visit the official website @ https://uppbpb.gov.in/.
  • Click on the Admit Card link.
  • A new login page appears on the screen.
  • Enter Your Registration Number, Date of Birth, Gender, and verification code as displayed on the screen.
  • After entering the required login details click on Download Admit Card.
  • The admit card is displayed on your screen.
  • Download and take a printout of your admit card for future reference.

Result

The result of the UP SI recruitment examination will be announced on the official website (www.uppbpb.gov.in).The result will be released stage wise once each stage is conducted. The candidates can check their result through the following steps:

The candidates can apply UP SI via online mode only on (www.uppbpb.gov.in). Below are the steps that one needs to take for successful online registration for the exam:

  • Click on the official link which is provided on this page (www.uppbpb.gov.in).
  • Click on Apply Link given on the official page of the website of the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment Board. The registration e-link will open up in the new window.
  • Click on New Registration in application window and then click on the register button.
  • To begin with the registration, candidates need to provide basic details like name, parents name, date of birth, email id, mobile number etc. Save and continue.
  • Click on submit button to submit your online registration form of UP SI.
  • In the next step, candidates would have to upload photographs and signatures following the requisites mentioned Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board.
  • After filling up the application form, candidates must preview the entire application form of UP SI once to look for any correction in the form.

How tough is the UP SI Exam?

Is there negative marking in the UP SI examination?
There is no negative marking in the UP SI Examination. And for every correct answer 2 marks are awarded and no marks are deducted for any unattempted question.

How many numbers of times a candidate can appear in the UP SI Examination?
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board do not limit the number of attempts for appearing in the UP SI examination. However, there is a age limit set by the Board to be not under 21 years of age or above 28 years of age.

When will admit card of UP SI exam release?
The admit card of the UP SI examination is released 7 to 20 days before the commencement of the examination.
