 ASHA and Anganwadi Workers in Ayushman Bharat Scheme

  • ASHA and Anganwadi workers are included in the Ayushman Bharat Scheme by the government, as of February 12, 2024.
  • The government of India had received Aadhaar numbers from over three lakh ASHA and 23 lakh Anganwadi workers/helpers.
  • This program seeks to support the larger objectives of the AB-PMJAY program by offering these vital healthcare professionals free health coverage.
  •  The administration wants to have the cards available by the end of the month, in accordance with Health Secretary Apurva Chandra's statement, which falls on March 1st.

Launch of UPI and RuPay Card in Sri Lanka and Mauritius

Paytm E-commerce Rebranded as Pai Platform

Sindhu Ganapathy 

  • The Southern Railway appointed Sindhu Ganapathy as its first transwoman Traveling Ticket Examiner (TTE) on February 12, 2024.
  • Ms. Ganapathy has established a standard for the presence of transgender people in high-profile government roles. She started working for the Railways as an assistant in 2003.

Huge Reserves of Iron Ore Found in Rajasthan
