First Pakistani Woman Nominated as ‘International Cricket Umpire’

• Saleema Imtiaz has made history as the first Pakistani woman nominated to the ICC International Panel of Development Umpires, announced by the Pakistan Cricket Board on September 15, 2024.
• This nomination qualifies her to officiate in women's bilateral international matches and ICC events.
• Saleema Imtiaz began her umpiring career in 2008 and has officiated in several Asian Cricket Council tournaments.

Mohana Singh

• Squadron Leader Mohana Singh made history by becoming the first woman fighter pilot to join the prestigious 18 'Flying Bullets' squadron on September 15, 2024.
• She will be operating India's indigenously produced LCA Tejas fighter jet.
•  As one of the initial women fighter pilots in the Indian Air Force, Mohana Singh has once again broken barriers, highlighting the force's dedication to gender equality and empowerment.
• She was part of the pioneering group of 3 women fighter pilots, alongside Sqn Ldr Bhawna Kanth and Sqn Ldr Avni Chaturvedi, who currently fly Su-30 MKI jets.

‘CREATE’ Inaugurated at Leh

• The Centre for Rural Enterprise Acceleration through Technology (CREATE) was inaugurated by Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi in Leh on September 15, 2024.
